Bachelor Girl - Waiting For The Day

This is a discontinued 1998 release from Australian act, Bachelor Girl.

Bachelor Girl was formed in 1992 in Melbourne when songwriter / instrumentalist and record producer James Roche met vocalist Tania Doko.

Roche & Doko began writing and recording and started to put together a demo CD and performed several Melbourne shows looking for a record deal and found a deal with Gotham Records in 1997, after Sony rejected them.

Their debut single, "Buses and Trains", was an international hit but subsequent releases failed to capture the same chart success.

Bachelor Girl split in 2003 after the release of their second album was less than successful.

A third album was recorded, though not released, however a track from that album is available on Tania Doko's EP "To Whom it May Concern".

Tania is currently working with electro pop / rock outfit "She Said Yes".

Roche received an Aria Award as Producer Of The Year for this album.
